2027: Benue APC Reaffirms Backing for Governor Alia’s Second-Term Bid

The Benue State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Benjamin Omale, has reaffirmed the party’s unwavering support for the re-election of Governor Hyacinth Alia in the 2027 governorship election.

Omale made the declaration during a meeting with party members and key stakeholders at his residence in Makurdi, the state capital. He described the gathering as a demonstration of unity, strength, and renewed commitment within the APC family in Benue State as preparations begin for the 2027 general elections.

According to the party chairman, the meeting was also an opportunity to thank God for His protection, guidance, and faithfulness to the APC in Benue throughout the year 2025. He noted that the occasion was organised to appreciate party members particularly youths and women for their loyalty, sacrifices, and sustained support for the party at all levels.

Omale stressed that party cohesion remains critical, insisting that the re-election of Governor Hyacinth Alia in 2027 is non-negotiable. He commended APC youths in the state for what he described as their “homefront soldier-like” commitment and resilience in defending and promoting the party.

In his remarks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilisation and Illegal Levies, Mr Terver Gbanda, praised Omale’s leadership style, describing it as inclusive, open, and focused on strengthening the APC in Benue State.

Gbanda said the meeting was timely and strategic, adding that it would further solidify unity among party members and enhance collective efforts toward securing Governor Alia’s second-term victory in 2027.
