Renowned Nigerian cleric and prophetic voice, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a strong warning and advisory message concerning Nigeria’s worsening security challenges, calling for urgent collaboration between the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian military.

According to Primate Ayodele, the fight against banditry, terrorism, and kidnapping cannot be won through isolated efforts. He emphasized that the DSS plays a critical role in intelligence gathering and technical operations, which must be fully supported by the federal government.

The cleric specifically urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to strengthen and empower the DSS, noting that while the agency may not directly engage in full-scale combat, its expertise lies in providing technical intelligence, strategic information, and identifying operational hotspots.

“The DSS may not fight the battle directly, but they will provide the technicalities, identify the areas, and then the military can take over,” he stated.

Primate Ayodele explained that once accurate intelligence is supplied, the military would be better positioned to act decisively and effectively, leading to more successful security operations across the country.

He further revealed that the DSS is ready and willing to work closely with President Tinubu’s administration, stressing that cooperation and trust between the presidency, intelligence agencies, and the armed forces are key to restoring peace and stability.

The prophetic warning highlights the urgent need for a coordinated national security strategy, especially at a time when many Nigerians continue to suffer from violent attacks, abductions, and terrorist activities in different parts of the country.

Primate Ayodele concluded by calling on the government to act swiftly, noting that intelligence-driven security operations remain one of the most effective ways to defeat criminal networks and insurgent groups threatening the nation.

As Nigerians await tangible improvements in security, the cleric’s message adds to growing calls for a more unified and strategic approach to safeguarding lives and property.
