Primate Ayodele to Visit YABATECH November 6, Set to Offer Scholarships and Empowerment for Disabled Students

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, is set to visit Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) on Thursday, November 6, 2025, for a major empowerment outreach that will focus on offering scholarships and support to physically challenged students in the institution.

In a statement confirmed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele’s visit to YABATECH will not only feature scholarship presentations but also the launch of new initiatives designed to promote inclusivity and spiritual growth among young people, irrespective of their religious or social background.

According to the statement, the man of God expressed deep concern about the growing number of students, especially those with disabilities, who find it increasingly difficult to afford quality education due to the economic situation in the country.

“Education has become almost unaffordable for the less privileged, particularly for the disabled who cannot easily fend for themselves,” Primate Ayodele was quoted as saying. “The fact that someone is physically challenged should not disqualify them from accessing good education. Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve their dreams. When people have the desire to study, financial hardship should not stand in their way. This is why we are taking this step to assist students at YABATECH.”

He further noted that his ministry has always prioritized education and human development as part of its divine calling, adding that the upcoming visit will reflect INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church’s continued commitment to empowering the next generation through both spiritual and financial support.

“I am passionate about seeing young people get educated. It pains me to meet those who have the drive to study but are held back by lack of funds. For this reason, we have taken it upon ourselves to do whatever we can to reduce the number of people in that category,” he added.

Beyond the scholarship scheme, the visit will also mark the official unveiling of the INRI Students’ Fellowship Programme, a campus-based initiative aimed at fostering spiritual growth, moral guidance, and leadership among students.

Unlike most campus fellowships that are restricted to members of a particular denomination, the INRI Students’ Fellowship will be open to students of all religions, denominations, and backgrounds. The programme is designed to promote unity, compassion, and a sense of purpose among young people, regardless of their faith or social standing.

The fellowship is not being introduced to expand the church’s membership base, but rather to inspire Godly living and encourage students to pursue both spiritual and academic excellence.

In addition to the empowerment activities, discussions will also take place regarding the possible affiliation of a School of Communication and Public Relations with Yaba College of Technology. The proposed collaboration is expected to give Mass Communication students more practical exposure, allowing them to engage directly with media professionals and develop hands-on experience while still in school.

“Primate Ayodele strongly believes that education should be practical and purpose-driven. The proposed School of Communication and Public Relations is part of a long-term vision to help students connect their classroom training with real-world media practice.”

It would be recalled that Primate Ayodele recently donated over ₦2 million to a group of YABATECH students who visited his church in Lagos a few weeks ago. During that visit, the cleric pledged to continue supporting the institution and its students, urging them to stay committed to their studies and maintain discipline in their academic pursuits.

The upcoming visit on November 6 is, therefore, seen as a follow-up to that promise, as well as a demonstration of his consistent dedication to youth empowerment, educational advancement, and social development.
