The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced a remarkable milestone in Benue State, recording a total of 553,751 registered members across the 23 local government areas just three months after its official launch in the state.
The impressive figure was disclosed on Monday, October 27, 2025, during a meeting of the ADC Benue State Executive Committee and 23 Local Government Committee Chairmen held at the party’s state secretariat in Makurdi.
According to the party, the registration success reflects the growing acceptance and confidence of Benue residents in the ADC’s vision and leadership style. The meeting reviewed the ongoing membership drive, discussed strategies for deepening grassroots mobilization, and commended the dedication of party officials at all levels.
Speaking at the session, the State Committee Chairman, High Chief Terngu Tsegba, expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and praised party executives across the state for their commitment and hard work in mobilizing new members from both urban and rural communities.
“The ADC has continued to gain overwhelming acceptance across Benue State, thanks to the tireless efforts of our committees and the trust our people have in our message of hope and inclusivity,” Tsegba said.
He further urged local committees to sustain their focus and remain inclusive, emphasizing that the African Democratic Congress is a party built on equality, fairness, and transparency.
“The ADC is for all Nigerians. We are committed to building a party that gives equal opportunity to everyone, regardless of tribe, religion, or background,” he added.
Among those present at the meeting were the State Secretary, Samson Okwu, Publicity Secretary, Stevie Ayua, Prof. Cletus Tyoikyaa, Abeije Egwa, Elizabeth Allagh, Ato Agber, and the 23 Local Government Committee Chairmen.
With this latest development, the ADC appears to be strengthening its foothold in Benue State, signaling its readiness to play a more active role in the state’s political landscape ahead of future elections.
