The Imo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken significant steps to solidify its internal structure and electoral readiness as the 2027 general elections draw closer. This follows a crucial strategic meeting convened by the State Chairman, James Okoroma, with all 27 Local Government Area (LGA) Chairmen and other key stakeholders at the party’s secretariat in New Owerri.
During the meeting, the LGA Chairmen reaffirmed their collective commitment to ensuring a decisive victory for the party in 2027, describing the engagement as timely and essential for strengthening unity and strategic alignment across all levels of the party.
Okoroma, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the party’s increasing visibility and internal harmony, noting that the ongoing membership registration and revalidation exercise had significantly boosted the party’s influence across the state. He commended the LGA Chairmen for their maturity, coordination, and sacrifices, especially during the distribution and retrieval of the Ward Party Registers.
He further emphasized the critical role of grassroots mobilization in the ADC’s political strategy, urging Ward and LGA leaders to uphold integrity, inclusiveness, and dedication in their activities. According to him, expanding the party’s reach and attracting new members remains a top priority as the election year approaches.
Responding on behalf of the LGA Chairmen, Omah Pius Omah expressed appreciation to the State Working Committee for its visionary and people-oriented leadership. He assured that the Chairmen remain united and committed to deepening community engagement, strengthening party structures, and working tirelessly towards securing victory for ADC in the 2027 polls.
The strategic meeting was attended by key officials, party faithful and stakeholders who pledged to continue working collaboratively to advance the ADC’s political goals.
