ADC to Launch Nationwide Membership Registration Drive in Abuja

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced plans to commence a nationwide membership registration exercise aimed at strengthening its internal structures and expanding its grassroots footprint across Nigeria.

The disclosure was made by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, in a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle.

According to Abdullahi, the formal launch of the registration exercise is scheduled for Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The event will take place at Barcelona Hotel, Wuse 2, Abuja.

He described the initiative as a significant milestone in the consolidation of the party’s framework and an important step toward building a broader, more inclusive political movement.

The ADC spokesperson noted that the membership drive is designed to deepen internal democracy and promote wider citizen participation in the party’s activities.

He emphasized that the exercise would help position the ADC as a “people-powered movement” with active representation across all levels of society.

The registration drive is expected to trigger coordinated membership mobilisation efforts across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, as the party seeks to solidify its presence at the grassroots level ahead of future political activities.

Party officials believe the initiative will not only expand the ADC’s support base but also reinforce its organizational capacity nationwide.
