Venezuelans in the region waved national flags, draped them over their shoulders, and chanted “liberty,” describing the moment as a mix of joy, relief, fear, and uncertainty after years of political repression in their homeland.
Alejandra Arrieta, a Venezuelan resident in South Florida, said the development brought overwhelming emotions.
