Oluremi Tinubu: “Nigeria Will Not Break Apart, Our Unity Is in God’s Hands”

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed her confidence in the nation’s continued unity, declaring that despite present difficulties, Nigeria will not disintegrate. She emphasized that the country’s future remains secure under God’s guidance.

Mrs. Tinubu made this declaration on Sunday during a Thanksgiving service held at the Methodist Unity Cathedral in Abuja, organized to mark the investiture of Most Rev. Sunday Onuoha as Archbishop on Special Duties.

Although represented at the event by the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, the First Lady’s message resonated strongly with attendees as she underscored the power of faith in sustaining national stability.

In her address, Mrs. Tinubu assured Nigerians that the nation would weather its challenges and emerge stronger.

She said:

“Nigeria will not disintegrate. Nigeria will remain one indivisible entity. God will be with Nigeria.”

She encouraged citizens to remain hopeful, stressing that collective prayers and spiritual commitment are essential in steering the country through its current socio-economic and security struggles.

The First Lady urged Nigerians to pray earnestly for the country, the church, and national leadership. According to her, divine intervention remains critical as the nation navigates its present challenges.

She added that Nigerians should anticipate a peaceful festive season:

“We shall celebrate the coming Christmas in peace and in joy, and it shall be well with Nigeria. I wish the Archbishop well in his new role.”

Her remarks echoed the broader call for unity at a time when political tensions, insecurity, and economic hardship have heightened public concern.

The First Lady message serves as a reminder of the federal government’s belief in Nigeria’s enduring unity. Her expression of optimism at the high-profile religious event has been welcomed as a morale boost for many Nigerians seeking reassurance in uncertain times.
