In a heart-stirring act of compassion, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has once again demonstrated his commitment to humanitarian causes by donating ₦10 million towards the medical treatment of Mr. Emmanuel Udoh, a kidney patient in need of a ₦40 million transplant.
During a live service at the church’s headquarters in Oke-Afa, Isolo, Lagos, Primate Ayodele publicly invited Mr. Udoh and his wife before the congregation, narrating their ordeal to raise awareness about their plight. According to Mrs. Udom, her husband had been battling kidney failure since 2021, undergoing regular dialysis sessions at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC). She revealed that they had reached out to an international health foundation for financial aid but had not received any response.

Deeply moved by the testimony, Primate Ayodele expressed concern about the patient’s deteriorating condition and questioned what would happen if help did not come in time. In a swift and selfless decision, the man of God announced that he would sell one of his properties valued at ₦10 million to assist Mr. Udoh’s treatment. He also made an emotional appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and the Governor of Akwa Ibom State Udom’s home state to join in supporting the patient.
“On behalf of myself, I want to sell one of my properties to assist this man,” Primate Ayodele declared. “I call on Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu, President Tinubu, the Senate President, and all well-meaning Nigerians to help. The man needs ₦40 million, and every contribution counts. This man is our collective responsibility.”
He further emphasized that leaders must show compassion to those they govern, urging governors across Nigeria to extend a helping hand to citizens in distress. “We cannot enjoy our services if this man dies,” he said. “Let every compassionate Nigerian leaders and citizens rise and support this cause. This is not just the church’s business; this is everyone’s business.”

Beyond the donation, Primate Ayodele also pledged to cover the couple’s travel and accommodation expenses for their upcoming trip to Abuja, where the kidney transplant is scheduled to take place. He directed the Zenith Medical and Kidney Centre in Abuja to prepare for Udom’s immediate admission and urged the hospital to stop his dialysis sessions by December, as part of his faith-led intervention.
“Zenith Hospital, please attend to this man urgently. He has no money, but we are standing for him. I will raise the funds for their flight tickets and hotel stay. We do not want him to die. This is a race against time,” Primate Ayodele appealed passionately.
This latest gesture adds to Primate Ayodele’s long list of charitable interventions and philanthropic initiatives across Nigeria. Known for blending his prophetic ministry with tangible humanitarian impact, he has funded education, provided housing, and supported widows, orphans, and the underprivileged across different states.
His actions continue to inspire many within the Christian community and beyond, reflecting the true essence of faith-driven social responsibility. In an era where many religious leaders are often criticized for their detachment from real human suffering, Primate Ayodele’s unwavering generosity stands out as a model of active compassion and leadership rooted in service.
As calls for assistance spread across social media, Nigerians have praised the clergyman for setting an example of empathy and national unity through kindness. Many observers have urged influential individuals and corporate bodies to emulate his gesture and support the ongoing medical campaign to save Mr. Udoh’s life.
