Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, the Spiritual Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has stirred public conversation after predicting that the Nigerian government will soon reveal the names of individuals allegedly sponsoring terrorism in the country.
Speaking during a prayer session at the church’s headquarters in Oke-Afa, Ejigbo, Lagos, the cleric delivered a prophetic message in which he warned that prominent figures in society would be publicly indicted over their alleged involvement in insecurity across Nigeria.
According to Primate Ayodele, the anticipated development would shock many Nigerians because those to be named are not ordinary citizens but well-known and influential personalities.
“Names will be published, names of people sponsoring terrorists. Some prominent people will be indicted,” he declared.
His statement comes amid longstanding national concerns and controversies surrounding the issue of terror financing and the alleged protection of powerful interests linked to insecurity. Over the years, there have been repeated calls from civil society groups and security analysts for greater transparency from authorities regarding individuals suspected of funding or supporting terrorist activities.
While the Nigerian government has previously acknowledged investigations into terror sponsorship, the public has often questioned why names have not been fully disclosed or prosecutions transparently pursued. Primate Ayodele’s revelation has therefore reignited debate on whether the authorities will finally make such information public.
