Warns Tinubu as Insecurity Deepens Across Nigeria
In a fresh prophetic message that has ignited intense debate across Nigeria’s political and religious spheres, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the renowned leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has delivered a strong caution to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu amid the nation’s escalating insecurity crisis.
Speaking with his characteristic urgency, Primate Ayodele said Nigeria stands at a critical juncture, warning that any move to seek security assistance from the United States would signify a profound failure of leadership at the highest level.
According to him, President Tinubu should resign if external nations especially America must intervene to restore peace in Nigeria. He insisted that such dependence reflects an inability to govern effectively at a time when the nation requires decisive internal action.
“If America comes to help Nigeria, then the President should resign. It simply means you are not capable. This is not a fight of Christian and Muslim i am talking about fight of Nigerian, killings.” the cleric declared.
His statement comes at a moment when Nigerians are still mourning recent tragedies including the abduction of schoolchildren in Kebbi, the kidnapping of students and staff in Niger State, and the killing of senior military officers in Borno, among numerous attacks by bandits, terrorists, and armed groups across the country.
Primate Ayodele’s message goes beyond political criticism. It serves as a symbolic call for Nigeria to regain its internal strength and take ownership of its battles.
He argued that turning to global powers such as the United States for rescue signals a loss of national direction and undermines Nigeria’s sovereignty.
“This is no longer about religion, tribe, or political party. It is about life and death. Nigerians are being killed, and our leaders must rise to defend the nation. Leadership is proven in times of crisis, not comfort,” he said.
The prophet emphasized that Nigeria’s unending cycle of insurgency, banditry, mass kidnappings, farmer–herder conflicts, and targeted assassinations must be addressed through home-grown strategies, not foreign intervention.
He warned that relying on external nations to solve Nigeria’s internal problems could derail national stability and weaken the resolve of security institutions.
Nigeria’s insecurity crisis continues to worsen, with attacks recorded almost weekly across several regions.
- In Kebbi State, at least 25 schoolgirls were abducted by terrorists in a brutal raid on a government school.
- In Niger State, students and staff of St. Mary’s Catholic School were kidnapped by armed men, raising fears of a renewed wave of school-targeted violence.
- In Borno, Brigadier General Musa Uba and other gallant soldiers were killed in yet another ambush by insurgents.
- In Kwara, worshippers in Eruku community were attacked, resulting in casualties and widespread terror.
- Southeastern Nigeria continues to battle violent enforcement of sit-at-home orders, attacks on communities, and rising criminal activities.
- In the Northwest and North-Central, banditry, mass killings, and rural displacement have left thousands homeless.
These incidents reflect a national emergency, heightening public anxiety and intensifying calls for stronger leadership, coordinated intelligence, and improved deployment of security assets.
It is against this troubling backdrop that Primate Ayodele insists that Nigeria must rebuild its internal security architecture rather than rely on foreign powers.
Primate Ayodele emphasized that his prophecy is not intended to incite fear but to remind Nigerians of the urgent need for unity, vigilance, and collective responsibility.
He called on leaders at all levels to demonstrate courage, integrity, and commitment, stressing that Nigeria’s rescue will come from within, not abroad.
“Foreign help is not the answer. Internal strength is. Nigeria must rise to confront its challenges intentionally, not through external guarantees,” he declared.
The cleric urged citizens, political leaders, security agencies, and community stakeholders to join forces in protecting the nation, warning that the consequences of inaction will be grave.
With insecurity becoming deeply rooted and increasingly complex, Primate Ayodele’s prophecy serves as a stark reminder that Nigeria is at a crossroads and the choices made today will determine the nation’s stability in the years ahead.
