Primate Ayodele Urges Tinubu to Declare State of Emergency in States Negotiating with Terrorists

The Spiritual Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take decisive action against insecurity by declaring a state of emergency in states where governors or community leaders are allegedly negotiating with terrorists and bandits.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the revered cleric expressed deep concern over the growing wave of kidnappings, banditry, and terrorism across the country, warning that continued government complacency could threaten national stability.

Primate Ayodele criticized some state leaders for engaging in peace deals with known criminals instead of enforcing security measures.

“The escalation of kidnapping is encouraged by government officials, especially some governors,” he said.

“When you start sitting with notorious killers and negotiating with them, you are legitimizing evil.

What Tinubu should do is declare a state of emergency in any state where governors or local chairmen are negotiating with bandits.” he said.

He also urged President Tinubu to take recent comments by U.S. President Donald Trump seriously, warning that the American government might act if Nigeria fails to tackle terrorism effectively.

“Don’t think America is joking,” Primate Ayodele warned. “They are ready to fight terrorists, and their threat should not be ignored.”

The prophet emphasized that the Nigerian government must demonstrate leadership and urgency to prevent international interference and restore citizens’ confidence in security institutions.

Primate Ayodele’s statement comes amid renewed debate about how best to address Nigeria’s worsening insecurity, which continues to claim lives and disrupt communities across several regions.
