The Spiritual Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a strong prophetic warning to the Federal Government, urging Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, to expose banks allegedly being used by terrorists to store and move funds.
Speaking during a live service at his Lagos church, Primate Ayodele expressed deep concern over the worsening security situation in Nigeria and the growing threat of terrorism. He warned that unless decisive action is taken, the country could face more coordinated attacks. The cleric said the time had come for full disclosure from the financial sector, stressing that some banks were enabling terrorist financing in the country.
“Two banks are involved in terrorist acts where they save their money,” Primate Ayodele declared. “Tell Cardoso to bring out those banks. If President Tinubu’s government is not in support of terrorism, let him tell the CBN Governor to expose them.”
Primate Ayodele explained that while he would not personally reveal the names of the financial institutions involved, he was confident in his divine revelation. “I don’t need to mention the banks’ names not because I’m afraid, but because God didn’t ask me to say it. If He instructs me to do so, I will. Not that they can do me anything,” he stated firmly.
The prophet’s call comes amid growing global concern over Nigeria’s security landscape. Just last week, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed alarm about rising cases of terrorism and alleged religious persecution in Nigeria, threatening that the United States “would not stand by” if attacks on Christians continued.
Analysts say Primate Ayodele’s revelation aligns with recent intelligence warnings from international agencies, suggesting that terrorist groups in Africa are increasingly adopting sophisticated financial methods, including the use of legitimate banks, to conceal their transactions.
Ayodele, known for his accurate and timely prophecies on national and global issues, described his message as a divine warning to Nigerian authorities to act swiftly. He emphasized that exposing terrorist-linked banks would not only restore public trust in the financial system but also demonstrate the government’s sincerity in combating insecurity.
“The president must show Nigerians that he truly wants to end terrorism. Cardoso should publish the names of the banks, and Tinubu must act decisively. Silence or delay will only worsen the situation,” the cleric warned.
He further cautioned that ignoring divine warnings could lead to greater national tragedy. “This is not the time for political games; it’s a time for action. God is revealing these things so that Nigeria can be free,” Ayodele added.
The call by Primate Ayodele has sparked conversation among Nigerians, with many urging the CBN to investigate and take immediate action against any financial institutions found guilty of enabling terrorism.
As insecurity continues to rise across the country with kidnappings, insurgent attacks, and bandit activities escalating citizens are demanding greater transparency and accountability from both government and financial regulators.
