The Group Director General (DG) of the Financial Inclusion Center (FIC), Mr. Sola Bickersteth, on Friday 27th of March 2026 paid a working visit to Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area (LCDA), where he was received by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Akinola Abiodun Idowu (Dodo), alongside council officials.
The visit focused on strengthening collaboration between the Financial Inclusion Center and the LCDA to expand digital financial inclusion across Orile-Agege LCDA and neighboring Agege LGA. Discussions emphasized improving financial access, economic participation, and development opportunities for residents.
The Executive Chairman reaffirmed the council’s commitment to the initiative and highlighted the sponsorship of 156 program marshals to support implementation. In response, Mr. Bickersteth commended the Chairman’s proactive leadership and announced the imminent deployment of branded FIC cubicles across approved locations, marking the physical rollout of the program.
He further disclosed that certified FIC agents would soon begin operations, providing services such as NIN registration, access to loans and grants, and sustainable employment opportunities. Team leaders and agents were encouraged to uphold professionalism, integrity, and excellence in service delivery.
The visit concluded with a group photograph and the assignment of a lead consultant to supervise program implementation within the LCDA. The engagement represents a significant step toward financial inclusion, economic empowerment, and grassroots development, reflecting Hon. Akinola Abiodun Idowu’s commitment to improving the welfare and prosperity of his people.
