US Warns of Possible Terror Attacks on American Facilities, Schools in Nigeria

The United States Embassy in Nigeria has issued a security alert warning of a possible terrorist threat targeting American facilities and U.S.-affiliated schools in Nigeria.

In the advisory released on Monday, the embassy cautioned U.S. citizens residing in or visiting the country to remain vigilant, particularly around American diplomatic missions and institutions linked to the United States.

According to the alert published on the embassy’s official website, the potential threat is believed to be directed at U.S. facilities and American-affiliated schools, especially within the Abuja.

The warning urged U.S. nationals to exercise heightened caution and take additional security measures when visiting the embassy and other American establishments.

The embassy specifically advised American citizens to be cautious when travelling to the United States Embassy Abuja, the United States Consulate General Lagos, and any schools affiliated with the United States in Nigeria.
